The new King Diamond

I got the new King Diamond album a couple of months ago. It is sweet, though not as sweet as the older material. I think that he’s fallen in love with Livia Zita. She has been on two albums now, “The Puppet Master” and “Give me your soul…please”, which is the new album. For some reason, he doesn’t have the same intensity as he used to. I have a copy of him with a band called “Probot”, and I think that the vocals on the song “Sweet Dreams” were among the best that he has ever done. That song contains almost everything that a King Diamond fan loves him for. It is chock full of the highs and lows that give him that signature sound. Even in the days of “Mercyful Fate” King’s voice has proven to be among the most powerful in the business, rivaled only by the likes of Ronnie James Dio and Mike Howe of “Metal Church”and “Heretic”. The last album though, did not have the same insanely dark characteristics. The story of the album too, is lacking. A lot of the plot points don’t make a lot of sense. Since the first solo album, King has been making “concept” albums. All the songs tell a complete story all the way through. “The Graveyard” is among the very best. The story there is good enough for a summer horror blockbuster. I hope that King gets his groove back for the next project. I would hate to see him go the way of “Metallica”. That would be a true shame.

Reducing Stress

As we approach the holiday season, it appears that stress seem to go up. A good way to eliminate stress  through exercise. Any type will help. I coach my kids soccer teams, so that definitely helps. Even just getting on a bike and riding for a 20-30 minutes can do the trick. If you spend a lot of time on the PC like I do, you need to take a break every 30-45 minutes, walk outside, or just get away from the monitor. This will also help your energy level if you are working on a project that requires you to be in front of your PC.

Playing in Southern California

Just how fun is it to be in California? So many people living in such a large state and seeing some of the most famous people in the USA and the world living in California, leaves one to wonder what California has? Maybe the riches in Malibu, the thriving business in L.A., or is all the fun in Southern California?

ihsrh_californiaI’m sure with major colleges in the Southern Area of California, that there has to be a lot of fun that goes on in the sun and in the nightlife. The San Diego area is thriving with fun and they have a lot of nightlife entertainment to take advantage of. So many great places to eat and enough nightclubs to have a party at each night of the week. I’m sure while they are rooting for the Chargers, Padres, and Trojans, the San Diego residents have plenty of places to go to and celebrate their team’s win. I just wonder what club or restaurant has the best results, from a successful season by one of their sport’s team? Anyone that thinks they have a business or establishment that is idea for fans to go to after a big win on the sports field, probably would want to consider the San Diego area. Even the events that take place are handled with care from Orange County catering companies like the Bashful Butler. These companies are local to the area and know what it takes to have the Southern California feel. All the teams in Southern California are expected to do well right now and I’m sure a lot of shop keepers are licking their chops now at a Super Bowl, World Series, or maybe just a college championship sports team, for their sales to skyrocket. Even if they don’t win in Southern California, it’s still ranks as one of the best places to go for fun!

A lot of good choices out there for people that are searching for a new credit card these days, but one website out there let’s you easily compare all the companies. The lenders are very competitive out there for your business, so now is a good time to get a credit card or a new one if you have one already. You can use a rating website like Credit Card Comparison sites to find which credit cards would give you the best deals on balance transfers. This is a good way to get out of a higher interest bracket and into a lower one, by transferring your old credit card balance onto a new credit card.Balance Transfer Credit Cards is nothing new and smart people have been doing this for a long time. It only makes sense to swap your owed balance around if you can pay a lower interest rate on it. So this is one good way to judge which credit card might be best for you. You can break down a lot of other things like interest rates and cash back rewards to determine who has the best credit card for you. If you take a little time and go through all the big credit card issuers like Capital One, American Express, Discover, and, Chase  you will feel comfortable with your final decision and know you got one of the best credit cards out there that was right for you!

Free Bird after all these years

Was there ever any doubts which song would fall first in this top 5 countdown? There’s a lot of debating you can do for the top 5 songs by Lynyrd Skynyrd, but only 1 song can be put at number 1. Just to hear the first sounds of that guitar whaling away at the beginning of this song will run chills up ya.It’s songs like that and people that sings songs like that are still around many decades after originally recording them. back then Guitar Amplifiers lacked a lot of the technology that bands enjoy today so you can only imagine what could have been created back in the 1970’s with some of todays power and technology.

There might have been a horrible accident that took away the physical appearance of Lynyrd Skynyrd, but the soul of them original fellers from Jacksonville, Florida can still be felt today. When you listen to this song here, you can rest easy knowing about the horrible faith of some of those members that didn’t survive the crash. You can feel the passion in the way they sung this song and I really believe they were FREE. It’s almost like they knew what was going to happen and they decided to make this song so everyone could rest more easier about them.

An interesting trend started to take place in the early 80’s and can still be heard at concerts today. I’m not exactly sure how it started, but it is very popular to yell the name of this song out at concerts. No matter what singer or group is on stage, you can usually always hear at least one person shout out “PLAY SOME FREE BIRD!”
