Blogging Online,
TechnologyDo you like contests and sweepstakes where you can win lots of money? I know I like to enter everything under the sun, that I can enter for free and have the chance to win a lot of money. I know Publishers Clearing House is one of the leaders in the sweepstakes area, but I just wonder how much of a chance I have to win. It’s so popular, so you know a lot of people enter it each year. I would guess that about 80 or 90 percent of all U.S. households get their letters in their mailboxes. I assume a huge portion of those households send them back in and try to win all that money they are giving away.
Now the contest says you don’t have to purchase anything to win. I always wondered just how much of that is true. They send out information for people to get subscriptions from magazines. It is interesting now that you can get free magazines by mail over the internet yet you may not have that golden chance to be entered into the drawing. Unlike some of these sweepstakes offers where I think most of these are free and you will get some free magazines, but if you don’t cancel your subscription, they continue to ship you these magazines and you’re left paying for them. I never get the magazines, but I have filled out a bunch of those entries for Publishers Clearing House. So far they haven’t come to my front door with the TV crew, to give me all that money they are giving away. I guess I will continue to send back my entries, but I think I would have better luck in the lottery and the chances there are not that great either.

InsuranceIf your are looking for insurance whether it be Auto Insurance, Life Insurance, or Home Insurance the internet is easiest place to research and get some ideas on what to expect. Through sites such as Insurance Quote 4You you can harness their search power to get up to 4 free quotes where insurers are bidding for your business. When my wife and I were searching to increase our life insurance we were confronted with the question of whole or term insurance. There are pro’s and con’s with each depending on what your goals are. Term life is basically renting insurance where your policy never accrues any value. While whole life insurance can be used as investment vehicle, but you need to ask those questions when talking to your agent. At Insurance Quote 4You, they provide some great information on the differences and what to ask for when you settle on the right agent.

Blogging OnlineOver the past fifteen years or so, many “Credit Repair Companies” or “Credit Clinics” have opened up across the nation. Their main purpose is to help the individual remove incorrect and negative items from their credit report. Unfortunately, some of these outfits are scams from the word “GO” and have given the whole industry a bad name. They take the consumer’s money and then tell them it will take month s to get results, then disappear without a trace. With the information we have provided you with here, you have no need to take that chance. If, however, you decide to hire one of these companies, check them out! First, if the sales person or company uses the word “Guarantee” or “Delete”, Run and don’t look back! There is no way to “Guarantee” that ANYTHING will be removed from the credit report! Think about it for a minute. Unless he or she is going to “hack” into the credit bureau’s computer, how can he guarantee anything? The Clinic is NOT the one that “deletes” the information! Ask to see their license, get a copy of it, and then contact your State’s Secretary of State to make sure that the company has obtained and maintained the necessary license and/or bond.
In the State of Nebraska all companies, organizations, or individuals that provide credit services MUST (with NO exceptions) obtain a “Credit Services Organization License”. If they charge a fee BEFORE they provide the services they promise, they MUST also maintain a $100,000 Surety Bond for TWO YEARS after they cease doing business in the state. While you are on the phone with the Secretary of State’s office, ask if there have been any unresolved complaints against the company. Find out how long they have had their license as well.
