Everyone living in hurricane states should have their homes up to building code standards. It isn’t often that we see a hurricane making landfall on the western side of Florida, but residents living in Tampa Bay or Fort Myers should be prepared as well as their neighbors living on the east coast of Florida.  You can find help with and house support to help prepare for a potential natural disaster to better prepare for the impact.

I think most of us know that we are living in different times now and climate change is a real concern for our planet. We may have not seen the worse of the hurricanes yet and now is the time to start preparing for the future Katrina’s of the world. Hopefully these future hurricanes never form in our lifetimes, but let’s be prepared if they do. Do everything in your power to make sure your home is hurricane proof and please evacuate your home if local authorities make the suggestion.

So, what do you remember most about school?  Perhaps you remember your teachers, or a favorite teacher, or a favorite class.   Maybe you remember your friends.  But the one thing you probably never paid attention to were the lockers, and yet lockers are one of the things you used the most when you went to school.  We all depended upon our school locker for holding our books, backpacks, Jackets, boots, and much more!

These School lockers are very important once you reach Junior High and High School.  Most if not all schools have them for these age groups.  That is why it is very important for school administrators, and they need to know where to find the best lockers for their school’s needs.  Now, you might be surprised what kind of lockers are needed in a school.  For example, I bet most people would not have considered that schools need Gym Lockers specifically for when they go to gym class and need to change into their gym clothes.

But, like I said, lockers are probably the last thing you remember about school, and yet they are the most important.  Without lockers, you would have had to take all of your belongings to all of your classes, which would have been a serious drag (not to mention a huge problem for your back).  Luckily, people have begun making backpacks that have wheels on them so that people can roll their backpacks on the ground and not have it be a stress on their backs.

Earthquakes are of course caused when ti-tonic plates rub up against each other and this rubbing produces shaking around the area that has shifted.  These can be near mountain ranges, or specific fault lines such as the famous San Andrea’s faults in California.  Another place where earthquake activity can occur is in the ocean.  Our planet is over 70% ocean and many volcanoes are actually beneath the surface of the ocean.  The infamous “ring of fire” is a good example of this.

In China though, mostly seem to be mountain ranges, so I suspect that the rubbing of these mountains together may be the cause of what happened in China.  This of course does not bother me.  What bothers me is the frequency of the earthquakes recently.

Now, this could be due to the fact that the world is becoming more and more interconnected.  Only because of things like television and internet have we recently been able to access everything that is happening throughout the world.  What we know now is much more than we knew before.  But, how many occurrences did we not know of before?  We will never know, since they probably were never recorded, or if they were, the public did not know about them.

However, many say that the earthquake occurrences are much more than before, and if this is the case, we have to ask why.  If there is a reason that we can figure out, maybe we can prevent it.  But it is quite possible that we will not be able to prevent it since we still know very little about earthquakes themselves, and as far as I know of, we do not have the technology to stop them.

Now, there are some more common deep sea creatures that we all know about such as the Angler Fish.  This fairly ugly fish has some pretty odd habits including the male who attaches itself to its mate for life and has to live off of the female’s food intake.  The female finds food by a light which is at the end of something which looks almost like a fishing rod.  This light attracts fish, and then the female quickly snaps up the pray.

In the news more recently was a creature most people have probably not seen before, although this creature is by no means new to scientists.  The Giant Deep Sea Isopod, was recently brought up by a submarine to the surface and has now gained popularity.  This creature basically feeds off of the dead sea creatures.  It looks like a cross between a potato bug and possibly a cockroach.

We are even seeing some great deals on campers and RV’s because people are just not spending that type of money today. So if you have a little extra cash laying around you may be able to get a great deal and sleep in comfort on the next camping trip. Having a camper that allows you a place to get warm if you run into some cold weather or just a place to hang out and play games. So whether you plan on camping out in a tent, camper, or RV the most important thing is to have fun and take lots of photos to help you remember the time spent with family.

Now the contest says you don’t have to purchase anything to win. I always wondered just how much of that is true. They send out information for people to get subscriptions from magazines. It is interesting now that you can get free magazines by mail over the internet yet you may not have that golden chance to be entered into the drawing. Unlike some of these sweepstakes offers where I think most of these are free and you will get some free magazines, but if you don’t cancel your subscription, they continue to ship you these magazines and you’re left paying for them. I never get the magazines, but I have filled out a bunch of those entries for Publishers Clearing House. So far they haven’t come to my front door with the TV crew, to give me all that money they are giving away. I guess I will continue to send back my entries, but I think I would have better luck in the lottery and the chances there are not that great either.

In the State of Nebraska all companies, organizations, or individuals that provide credit services MUST (with NO exceptions) obtain a “Credit Services Organization License”. If they charge a fee BEFORE they provide the services they promise, they MUST also maintain a $100,000 Surety Bond for TWO YEARS after they cease doing business in the state. While you are on the phone with the Secretary of State’s office, ask if there have been any unresolved complaints against the company. Find out how long they have had their license as well.
